Earl was born on a family farm and drove a pair of horses by age ten. While stationed in the army abroad, he went to England and learned the art of harness making and about carriage restoration. Earl retired from the UVA JAG school in 1974, and has made harnesses and provided carriage services in the Charlottesville area ever since. He's raised Morgan horses for he past 24 years and drives a restored Victoria carriage made in Belgium at the turn of the century. He currently drives a pair of Morgans named Panda and Quinn, a beautiful and safe pair.
